If you’ve been blogging long, you are probably aware of the numerous events and conferences available to bloggers.
How do I know which one is right for me? You may be asking.
The key is to know
- Your goals
- Your weaknesses
- Your ability
1. Know Your Goals.
What is it that you want to accomplish this quarter or in the next 6 months. Figure that out and then…
2. Know Your Weaknesses.
What do you lack to be able to accomplish those goals? What skill do you need to learn? What help do you need to hire? What connections do you need to make it happen?
3. Know Your Ability.
With 1 and 2 down on paper and clearly spelled out, you can begin to look at your ability. How much can I spend? How far can I go etc. to learn this or meet these people and start looking at events that fit your ability. (See our master list of business/blogging events here.)
One of our hashtags at ComoBlog is #IRLConnectionsMatter. Conferences and live event networking have been a HUGE part of my success and where some of my best business connections have been made and networking relationships built. I highly recommend that you put at least one or two (more if you can) professional events on your schedule each year.
So What is Blogalicious?
The Blogalicious Annual Conference is a growing community of online influencers who celebrate digital diversity. This year it will be in Atlanta, GA, November 3-5, 2016. Their mission:
- to be THE go-to destination and resource for influential multicultural women social media enthusiasts from all over the world to collaborate, connect and uplift one another;
- to showcase the value of the demographic in today’s marketplace to marketers; and
- to serve as a think tank and mouthpiece for causes, policies and issues affecting the multicultural digital space.
I recently had the privilege of interviewing the co-founder Stacey Ferguson and she and her team have graciously offered a ticket giveaway and coupon code for our readers. Check out the interview below and be sure to register for the Atlanta event. All the fun starts November 3rd!

This is a great breakdown! There are so many conferences, but I’m not always sure if they are right for me. I’m excited that Blogalicious is here in Atlanta this year. I hope I get the chance to attend.
