Q: What is the idea behind The Connection?
Katie: Como Blog means “How to” Blog. The times I’ve seen the most growth in my business have been when I’ve had personal conversations (connections) with coaches and colleages ahead of me who’ve helped me see my next step or figure out how to do what I wanted to do, specific to my platform. That is the why of Como Blog: to help others have the connections and coaching they need, applied to their site/business/situation to take their next steps to success, to get their product and message to the world, to grow their community and to increase their influence and income.
Q: How do I know if The Como Blog Connection is right for me?
A: It’s been proven over and over that you become like those you hang out with. If you learn from the best and surround yourself with like-minded people, your success will soar. The Como Blog Connection is a place that is focused on making sure that nobody gets stuck in their pursuit of success. We’re a family, and make sure that we ALL succeed. If you’re a business building entrepreneur who is struggling to take your business to the next level, being a member of The Connection WILL help you.
Q: Will I have direct access to Katie?
A: Yes! Absolutely. I do offer one-on-one coaching – and Connection members get discounts on my coaching – But I am also thoroughly committed to The Como Blog Connection. I spend a certain amount of time in the private forum on a daily basis, answering questions and providing feedback, as well as hosting our two live mastermind calls and two live office hours each month. I am deeply involved in everything that happens within The Como Blog Connection.
Q: Is the membership per website/blog or per blogger?
Katie: The membership is per person. I can’t mentor a website. You’re welcome regardless of the number of sites you own or manage.

Q: Can I gift a membership to someone else?
Katie: Yes, you can. Please email me (katie at comoblog dot com) and I can set that up for you.
Q: Can I get a refund?
Katie: Membership to The Como Blog Connection is billed on a monthly, or annual basis. We operate a strict no-refund policy. No refunds for partial months or annual membership, including upgrading / downgrading of membership will be given. Join the community, take action and you’ll never want to leave, let alone a refund… trust me! Monthly members who joined during our launch year (prior to June 1, 2016) and maintain an active subscription for 24 consecutive months will be rewarded with lifetime status and will no longer pay but continue to have access to everything we do and produce going forward.
Q: Will prices go up?
Katie: Yes. As we continue to add value to The Connection, the prices will increase. However, when you join, you are locked in at that price for as long as you maintain an active subscription, whether monthly, or annual.

Q: What is the “life expectancy” of The Como Blog Connection?
Katie: I can’t say for certain other than that we have dreams of it being a huge community over time and being able to help thousands of people. We’ll continue to grow and produce better and better resources over time as you grow and need them.
My goal, as a teacher, is to provide continuing education that will serve you in each stage of your business development.
Q: I have heard some talk about Lifetime Membership. What is that?
Katie: Lifetime membership was a special one-time offer during our launch year. Anyone who joined The Como Blog Connection prior to June 1, 2016 can become a lifetime member once they have been a paying member for 24 consecutive months. Members who joined after that date do not have that option.
Q: How can I cancel my membership?
A: The majority of our members stick around for the long-term because, ultimately, that’s what will bring recurring results in their business growth. However, if you do want to cancel, just contact us and access will be turned off at the end of your current membership period.
Q: Does The Connection promote mentoring?
Katie: Yes! I never want to forget what it was like to desperately need someone’s advice and feel like it was out of reach. Who will teach the next generation if we’re unwilling to do so? It’s my goal to create a community within The Connection that allows members to mentor each other, and not always depend solely on the founder for support or answers.

Q: What can someone expect from you during private coaching?
Katie: When people are stuck it generally comes from one of 5 places: Clarity, Action Plan, Skills, Environment, or Fears. In our coaching session, we’ll identify the major stumbling block you are facing, present some options, set some goals, and then create a personalized action plan for turning that stumbling block into a stepping stone that gets you closer to success.
Q: Does The Connection membership include private coaching?
Katie: All Connection members have access to me and the other members through our Private Facebook forum as well as through our monthly interactive group coaching calls. Upon joining, members also receive a special coupon code which they can redeem at any time for a special members-only price on Como Blog services or private coaching. Joining with an annual payment includes 1 30-minute private session.

Q: Do you think it is possible to replace a part time income with blogging with the market so saturated with bloggers in all niches now?
Katie: Yes, I do, but I will qualify that by saying it takes creativity and work - consistently, strategically, and over time. Blogging is so not a get rich quick thing.
Q: How long did it take you to really feel like you were succeeding?
Katie: It took 2 years of hard work, several conferences, coaching, and lots of product creation and marketing education. Most experienced business owners will tell you it takes about 5 years to turn a profit with a new business. With online business you can often see income much sooner with the right strategy and income streams; it’s figuring out that strategy for your unique platform that often takes time. And income and profit are two different things.

Q: So how do you measure your own success?
Katie: My husband and I together and personally set goals for long-term and short-term projects. I try to look at the big picture end goal and not let myself get bogged down in the day to day numbers. Consistently moving in the right direction is progress even if one day we get closer than another, we’re still moving toward that goal, and that is the important thing.
It’s not about being better than anyone else. It’s about being better than you were yesterday. (Anonymous)
Our definition of success is “a family that knows the Lord, loves the Lord, and serves the Lord with joy. A ministry that brings others to God and teaches them how to grow in their relationship with him and with each other. And a business that makes enough profit to support our family/ministry as we do that.“
Your definition of success might be different and that’s ok, because your unique calling, sphere of influence and talents are different. Each one should define what success looks like to him and then not allow himself to measure himself by anyone else’s definition. Whatever your definition is, and whatever your goals, at Como Blog we will help you make them a reality. Join us!
Q: Does becoming a Como Blog Connection Member guarantee results?
A: The action YOU take in your business will have a direct effect on how it grows and profits. Although we can’t guarantee results, one thing we can guarantee is that we will do everything we can to provide a community that gives you the know-how, support and accountability you need to succeed in your entrepreneurial endeavours. Whether you do so, or not is entirely up to you and the action you take to secure your future as a business owner.
